AUGUSTO BOAL One of the world’s leading theatre practitioners, Augusto Boal created of a school of theatre called “Theatre of the Oppressed.” His work concentrates on using theatre in a political context, as a tool for understanding, education, and development. His techniques are also used in therapeutic settings to enhance personal and group development.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES To gather a core group of talented young adults with the objective of empowering them to create Image Theatre pieces to impact social change. Ensemble warm-up strengthens flexibility in imagination, concentration, physical freedom, and group trust.
